A critique of 2 nursing theories – 1350 words (+10% extra before marks deduction)
Present two nursing theories and critically discuss using academic and professional literature of the way in which your chosen theorists have influenced nursing practice. Also relate to the way in which this has influenced how you would like to practice as a nurse.
It would be useful to think about your approach and possible structure. For example,
- INTRODUCTION -Aim to provide a brief introduction where you will explain what you will be discussing. You could set a question to help focus the presentation and explain what needs to be understood.
- MAIN BODY -Address the question with clear points for example the arguments which have been presented within the literature and any alternative arguments.
- CONCLUSION – Draw the points together/summarize the main points and provide a clear take away message. Remember in your conclusion you will be outlining how your chosen theorists have influenced the way you would like to practice as a nurse.
